Coach D. Kenneth Caleb II is the Founder and Head Coach of Bayou City Elite Academy, bringing over 25 years of experience in education, coaching, and player development. His career reflects a deep commitment to developing student-athletes both on and off the court, combining elite basketball instruction with academic mentorship and leadership development.

Coach Caleb has served in teaching and coaching roles at some of Houston’s most respected programs, including Manvel High School, Shadow Creek High School, Booker T. Washington High School, and Yellowstone Charter School. Across each stop, he has built competitive programs rooted in discipline, accountability, and character.

As a player, Coach Caleb’s basketball journey is equally distinguished. He was a key contributor at Westbury Christian School, helping lead the program to two state championships. He continued his playing career at Blinn Junior College, where he further refined his skills and understanding of the game. His competitive experience extended into professional ranks with the Sugarland Sharks in minor league basketball, giving him a comprehensive perspective of player development at every level.

Today, Coach Caleb applies that wealth of experience to building Bayou City Elite Academy into one of the region’s premier development programs. His philosophy emphasizes skill mastery, academic excellence, mental toughness, and leadership, preparing athletes not just for competition, but for long-term success in life.
